
WINTER 2026 CLASSES

All classes will be taught at Reid Park Dog Training Area on Wednesday mornings.
​Obedience Maintenance & Extension: This class is designed for either the companion dog or the competition dog. If your dog already has basic loose leash walking and fundamental sit & down stay, they are eligible for this class. This group class goes beyond the basics for participants. Items such as fronts and finishes, touch-pad work, figure-8 heeling, and group work exercises and games. (Class Limit 8 Handler/Dog Teams / Class minimum 4 Teams) Wednesdays 9:00 am. February 4 - March 11, skipping February 25. Price: $125.00

Rally Courses & Sign Practice: This is a drop-in class to practice all levels of rally signs, for dogs 6 months and older. Dogs should be comfortable working around other dogs. Dogs should be able to walk on a loose leash and obey basic commands such as sit, down, and stay. This is not a class for reactive dogs. Wednesdays 10:00 am. February 4 - March 11. Fee is $20/class or $90 if you sign up for all 6 classes.

​Canine Good Citizen Class. This 6 week Canine Good Citizen program was started by the American Kennel Club in 1989. It is designed to teach basic obedience skills, that show the dog has good manners at home and in public. Handlers and their dogs will practice the skills needed to successfully pass the CGC test. The last class consists of an official CGC test if desired. Owners of dogs that pass the test will receive paperwork they can submit to AKC to receive an official certificate conferring the award of a CGC. AKC now recognizes CGC as an official title for AKC registered dogs! February 18 - March 25. Wednesdays, 10:00 am. February 18 - March 25. Price $150

General Information
Please read this information sheet before completing your registration for the class.
​
1. All OPDTC classes are limited in size. To ensure a place, your completed application, full payment, and proof of vaccination must reach us a minimum of one day prior to the class start date and prior to the time the class limit is reached.
2. If you must withdraw from a class, contact opdtc@opdogtraining.com. Refunds will honored if cancelled 24 hours prior to the first class minus a $10 processing fee.

3. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the first class session.
​
4. Distemper, Parvo and rabies inoculations MUST be current. PROOF OF VACCINATIONS FOR ALL DOGS MUST BE SENT TO THE opdtc@opdogtraining.com

5. By registering for a class you are acknowledging and accepting the all OPDTC policies and Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
